10 .gov.ph sites defaced on Independence Day

PrivateX hackers group defaced ten government websites on Independence Day, in what they claim as a protest against provisions of a pending cyber security legislation.

The websites, with mostly .gov.ph domains, are redirected here:

The defaced are: The homepage of the Office of the Vice President, the Philippine Nuclear Research Institute of the Department of Science and Technology, the National Food Authority, the Senate Electoral Tribunal, the Department of Health’s Smoke-Free Philippines site, the City of Mandaluyong, Optical Media Board and their Pilipinas Anti-Piracy Team’s site, and a page of the Department of Justice’s website, as well as their photo gallery, where “Photos of DOJ in Action” were replaced by that of PrivateX’s.
