“Once you pick up iPad 2, it’ll be hard to put down.”
Oh-uh. Sounds tempting.
I told myself before I have no use for an iPad. I like working comfortably – the bigger the machine, the better. I don’t care if I have to lug it around, as long as I have a full keyboard, all the ports that I need and a big screen. I am happy with my 15″ Macbook Pro, even with my 13″ Macbook white.
But looking at the new iPad 2, which just launched a couple of hours ago, my resolve not to join the tablet bandwagon is wavering.
The new iPad 2 has the A5 chip, which means faster graphics and processor, it is 33% thinner than the the first iPad, .2 lb lighter, has front and rear facing cameras, comes in black/white color, and is priced exactly the same as the original iPad ($499 USD for 16GB WiFi).
Look at those yummy colors! The Smart Cover can be folded and used as a stand.
It also has a new adaptor that allows you to connect your iPad to an HDMI cable.
Coming with the iPad 2 is iOS 4.3. It has a better version of the Safari browser, iTunes home sharing, preference for the side button to be mute or rotation lock, AirPlay improvements, iMovie, FaceTime, GarageBand, and Photo Booth.
It will be available in the US starting March 11 and in other countries by March 25. I’m sure in the Philippines, we’ll get it right away from the grey market
I guess this would be a perfect gift for my sweetie on his birthday on the 27th. Ha! I just hope he’ll appreciate it when I get the one with a pink cover.
